Lots of walking (at least for me) on the first climb not only because of the uphill but also due to the loose rocks as this is a heavily used trail by equestrians.

The trail crosses Williams Creek around the 3 mile mark and then again around 4 miles …which is where I caught a 10” cutthroat on my first cast on a micro chubby.  I could not resist throwing the dry a few more times and caught 2 more fish in about 10 casts.  Broke the rod down, enjoyed my Santa Fhazy, snacked on some wild raspberries and thimble berries and headed back to the trailhead.  Obviously I am not the only thing that enjoys the wild berries as witnessed by the bear tracks and scat!
